Boys' Fortnight: Day 11

Greetings, chaps (and chapesses) and welcome back to Boys' Fortnight at RunForYourLives.co.uk, a chance to step away from the grooming kits, put down the low-fat cereal bar and spend a few minutes being a boy again. Why? To 'celebrate' the fantastic discount offer going on at Boysstuff Ltd, that's why. And when we say 'celebrate', we mean it. There's balloons on the front door and everything.

First of all, the useful bit; To get a nifty 10% discount on top boys' toys and gadgets, just visit Boysstuff Ltd and enter the promotional code 91BSPGD at the basket any time during September. Huzzah! It's just in time for Christmas and everything.

Now for today's Boys' thing; We'd like to pass on some very useful advice today, if we may. BBC4 have just started showing one of the finest TV programmes ever made. If you tune in at 7.30pm any Tuesday or Wednesday from today, you will be able to enjoy the purple-leotarded crimefighting ace that is Batman. Hoo yes.

In our opinion, this is the best incarnation of the man. Sure, the films were fun, the gothic settings and unhinged villains were cool, but Adam West made the part his own in the 1960s. Tonight's episode features all the best elements, including:
- Batman awkwardly performing the Bat-Dance in a swinging sixties club
- The Bat-symbol shining into the night sky
- The Riddler and his demented laugh (and riddles which, we're pleased to say, we got immediately. Although this might just be because we remember the answers from when they showed it on TV-AM in 1988)
- Bruce Wayne explaining his disappearance to Aunt Harriet by claiming to be taking Dick on yet another fishing trip (she never seemed to get suspicious that they'd both vanish for a few hours and return with no fish)
- The Bat-Poles, with name-badges

Don't miss it. BBC4, Tuesdays from 7.30pm, Then again the next night. Same bat-time, same bat-channel.
